A young infant is fighting for their life after a tragic incident on the Gold Coast. At around 5:55 pm, a Toyota Corolla, driven by a 26-year-old man from Ormeau Hills, was traveling along River Run Court near the intersection with Oakover Avenue when it tragically struck a 60-year-old woman and her infant in a pram. The woman and the infant were rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where the infant is now in a critical but stable condition. The woman, on the other hand, is in a stable condition. The driver remained at the scene and is assisting police with their investigation. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and the vulnerability of pedestrians and infants in such situations.
